Both Employers and employees from all the various sectors of the Glass Industry are welcome to join and use the website. 

The website is provide in terms of typical glass industry department structures meaning Employers can search for the precise experience level they are looking for. No more need to post generally and then hope that it will find the right person with the right experience. 

Employers can search the database of registered glass industry employees to exactly look for the experience they need to fill their job vacancies.

Employees (also known as ‘candidates’) on the website are registered in Incognito mode as a default. This means their personal information is hidden from view but their skills, experience and educational level are still visible against their unique registration number.

The benefit of this is that a registered Employee of the Glass Industry can display their skills and experience that might be of interest to any particular employee without openly showing their personal details on the website.

If an Employer is interested in approaching someone who is registered, then they can message them via the messaging system on the website. If the Employee is interested in discussing with an Employer further when they are approached they can continue to do so ‘Incognito’. If they then want to reveal their details to a specific Employer, they can do so at the click of a button on the messaging page. That means only the employer that approached them have access to their personal information. (Not even an uploaded photo is to be displayed until an Employer is granted such access permission.)

However, if a glass industry employee wants to display all their resume and personal details publicly, they can also do that at the click of a button. That might be the case when they are out of work for example and needing another job.
